Hey there! My name is Alek Villa. And yes, I’m that guy who will ruin a perfectly good pair of shoes just to get the absolute best angle for your photo.
My journey is a long one, but in a nutshell, my story started with art from a very young age; painting, drawing, music, hairstyling, makeup artist, body painting, fashion photography, you name it. But today, I channel that lifelong passion into capturing legacy love stories from the beautiful State of New Jersey and anywhere else a plane can take me.
One my truest passions and obsessions are being with nature and on the outdoors. When I don’t have a camera in hand, you will almost always find me far off the grid, hiking hidden trails, exploring new mountain paths, or planning my next great travel adventure. And even then, you'll see me carrying a bunch of camera gear.
When I’m back in civilization, my ideal day is pretty simple: a peaceful and slow morning with a good cup of hot coffee, blasting and playing rock music with my guitar louder than my neighbors probably appreciate. And once in a while, wearing my cowboy hat and hosting backyard BBQs for my favorite people.
To me, family and shared values are the absolute center of the universe. I understand, on a profound level, that the moments we share with the people we love are our greatest treasures. That is exactly what I protect for my clients on their wedding day.
